Product Updates

November 2019 The first Greencult razor goes live: our own CNC-milled handle paired with a zinc alloy head. Resources were limited, but every step was intentional - always moving towards a razor made entirely in Austria.

October 2020 The GC1.0 (discontinued) launches: our first razor 100% Made in Austria. Handle and headpiece, both produced regionally, both in solid stainless steel. Gap 0.95, blade exposure 0.25.

July 2022 Growing demand and customer feedback push us to do two things: launch a premium model with interchangeable base plates - our GC2.0, and refine the now GC1.1 one final time. The result is a remarkably smooth, high-quality shave at an accessible price point. Gap 0.65, blade exposure 0.1.

Our Double Edge Razor GC2.0 - CNC-milled precision from Austria

The GC2.0 is the premium successor to the GC1.1 - shorter handle, refined design, interchangeable base plates, and a glass bead blasted finish. Like all Greencult razors, it is CNC-milled from a single piece of solid stainless steel (AISI 303) right here in Austria.

Where many razors on the market are cast from inferior materials, the CNC milling process allows us to achieve tolerances down to 0.01mm - resulting in a more precise blade fit, a more durable razor, and a shaving experience that simply feels different.

What makes our GC2.0 special:

  • 100% Made in Austria - in our family business in Goetzis, Vorarlberg
  • CNC-milled to 0.01mm precision: not cast, not 3D printed - tighter tolerances and a more precise blade fit than any cast stainless steel razor can achieve
  • Short handle, four base plates: the GC2.0 is built for wet shaving, with interchangeable base plates ranging from gentle to aggressive to match your preferred shaving style
  • Built-in scratch protection: a plastic disc is hand-pressed into the handle at the transition to the headpiece, preventing metal-on-metal contact and surface scratches. Don't need it? Simply remove it. The M5 thread reaches full tensile strength - around 300kg - in just 2.5 to 3 turns, so there's no compromise in stability either way
  • Glass bead blasted finish: not quite matt, not quite glossy - the result is a velvety, uniform surface with a subtle brilliant sheen. The blasting process also compacts the surface at a grain size of 0.005mm, adding both durability and a distinctly premium feel

Production

Together with my husband Max, who comes from a metal production company in the Rhine Valley, we set out to do things differently: developing a razor with full transparency and the highest manufacturing standards.

Through continuous optimization of our production process and efficient manufacturing, we're able to offer exceptional prices for premium razors proudly made in Europe.

Since 2020, all our razors have been fully produced in-house, enabling us to combine quality, consistency, and fair value for a global market.
